Your scheduled appointment time has been reserved specifically for you. We request 24-hours notice if you need to cancel your appointment. We are aware that unforeseen events sometimes require missing an appointment, and appreciate your cooperation.

Insurance and Billing

Our office is committed to helping you maximize your insurance benefits. Because insurance policies vary, we can only estimate your coverage in good faith but cannot guarantee coverage due to the complexities of insurance contracts. Your estimated patient portion must be paid at the time of service. As a service to our patients, we will bill insurance companies for services. If you have any questions, our courteous staff is always available to answer them.

It is our mission to provide you with affordable, high-quality treatment that fits your budget! We offer a variety of payment options to meet your needs. Our office accepts payments by cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover credit cards. We also offer financing options through Care Credit (, including 18-months same-as-cash financing. If you have any questions about financing or payment, ask us! We will thoroughly explain your choices and work hard to accommodate your needs.

If your insurance covers dental treatment, you will receive the benefit of reduced personal costs. Insurance policies vary, so we will review your insurance to determine the appropriate course of action. Once treatment has started, we will file your claims as a courtesy to you.

Please remember that dental insurance is a benefit for you or your child. If, during the course of treatment, your benefits change, the financially responsible party is accountable for all charges.

We accept checks, cash or credit cards. We also offer a flexible payment plan. Please see our Financial Coordinator for details. We are happy to file insurance for your reimbursement as long as you are free to choose your own dentist.

Patient Forms, Map and Directions to Lansing Office

Your initial visit will last approximately one hour. We will review your health forms and find out what is important to you regarding your dental health. Next digital x-rays and photos will be taken, a periodontal (gum) screening, check for decay and oral cancer exam will be done to evaluate the health of your teeth and gums. After reviewing your records and discussing your wants and desires for your dental health, Dr. Hutcheson will establish a plan just for you. When you leave you will have an estimate of your investment of time and money to accomplish your dental treatment.
