You won’t believe all the dental issues that porcelain veneers can improve!

Looking for a simple and effective way to improve the overall look of your smile? If so, then find out how your Lansing, MI dentists Dr. VeneersLaura Dyras and Dr. Michael Hutcheson could give you that new look with dental veneers.

How Veneers are Used

Veneers are made from stain-resistant and durable porcelain that offers a realistic looking smile. These thin shells are created to reflect the same translucency and shade of natural teeth, so you get a beautiful smile. Better yet, veneers can be used to combat a host of dental flaws easily and painlessly:

  • Misshapen teeth
  • Discolored teeth that don’t respond to whitening
  • Very small or uneven teeth
  • Jagged or chipped teeth
  • Misaligned teeth
  • Spaces between teeth

If you have any of these dental imperfections and are looking for a way to cosmetically change the look of your smile, then talk to your Lansing, MI dentist about veneers.

How Veneers are Placed

Dyras Dental uses minimally invasive techniques to apply your porcelain veneers. Since these veneers are thin and are only applied to the front portion of your teeth little tooth preparation is required in order to get these dental restorations.

During tooth preparation we will remove a small amount of enamel from your teeth to make room for the additional volume of the veneers. This preparation isn’t painful and doesn’t usually require anesthesia. Once this step is complete we will take impressions of your teeth to send to a lab. These impressions will be used to make your very own veneers.

After a couple of weeks, you’ll come back into our office where we will have you approve your new veneers before adhering them to the front of your teeth using a special resin.

If you are ready for porcelain veneers call our Lansing dental office today to schedule a consultation. Let Dyras Dental give you the smile you want.
