Meet Dr. Lauren Bedro

Lauren Bedro, DDS

Dentistry gives me the ability to help people. I have wanted to be a dentist since the sixth grade, when I started my orthodontic treatment. I could not believe the number of compliments I got on my smile after braces. Since then, I have had the desire to pursue a career in dentistry because I wanted to have this impact on others.

I love that this job not only allows me to improve someone’s dental health, but I am also able to positively impact their overall health and potentially give a patient their dream smile. I am passionate about the relationships I build with my patients and providing them with top quality care. I have a passion for working with people, especially the geriatric population and children. I strive for perfection and never settle for anything less than my topmost effort.

I love having the ability to relieve a patient’s pain. Many patients come to the dentist in pain or have sensitivity. Not many professions have the ability to provide immediate relief for a patient. I also love that this profession gives me the ability to change someone’s life for the better. My smile has had a huge impact on my confidence and it is the first thing I notice about a person when I meet them. When I’m able to boost a patient’s confidence through my work, it is the most rewarding feeling.

I participate in continuing education because I want to be a life-long learner and I value how the dentistry profession is always changing; there is always something new to learn. I want to provide my patients with the best, most up-to-date care. I am excited to use Invisalign technology to give patients their perfect smile. In the future I would like to take continuing education classes on veneers, implants, and orthodontics. I am very interested in the cosmetic aspect of dentistry.

While completing my education, I travelled to offsite locations including Grand Rapids and Wayne County Health Center to provide dental care on patients that otherwise would not have received care. I also participated in Titans for Teeth Mobile Clinic where I provided dental care to elementary and middle school students. I would love to be able to go on a mission trip at some point in my career to give back to those less fortunate.

My professional affiliations include the:

  • American Dental Association
  • Michigan Dental Association
  • Central District Dental Society
  • American Student Dental Association

I love to ski up north and out west with my family. I played high school volleyball and club volleyball for many years and still try to play whenever I am able to. I am also very close with my family.
